Administrative Assistant Washington, DC Reporting to the General Counsel, the Office Administrative Assistant will have the primary responsibility for managing the processing, tracking and reporting of Commission expenses as incurred and against budget, including interfacing with appropriate GSA personnel and outside vendors, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all Commission financial information. Working in coordination with outside financial consultants, the Office Administrative Assistant will research and reconcile inquiries on expense items contained in GSA monthly reports. The Office Administrative Assistant will also have responsibility for managing USCIRF’s internship program, for assisting with logistical and travel arrangements for Commission meetings, and for processing and confirming the accuracy of Commissioner expense reports and tracking reimbursement requests. The Office Administrative Assistant will also be responsible for managing vendor relationships, information technology, human resources, payroll and finance matters on a day-to-day basis. The Office Administrative Assistant will also be responsible for managing the maintenance and ordering of all office supplies, materials, and equipment, for handling the tracking of telephone calls to and visits by external parties to the Commission, for monitoring the receipt of mail, packages, and faxes, and distributing the same to intended recipients, for administering the Metro benefits program, for serving as the Commission representative on the Building Security Committee and handling related office security matters, for keeping accurate time and attendance of staff, and for such other duties that may be assigned to him or her by the General Counsel or the Executive Director.
