Telephone Operator Tuscaloosa, AL The Telephone Operator will provide switchboard operator services to the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center. The operator will place and receive both commercial and FTS calls, including an occasional call to or from a foreign country. The employee recognizes priority or emergency calls, and facility transferring calls to the appropriate staff members or patients. This information is used to prepare monthly financial reports for the Financial Management Department and used to monitor expenditures for the Health Service Department cost centers. All expenditures must be approved by the cost center manager.
